Baker Lyman Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Tuesday, August 13, 2019

Since 1920, we have been through the Depression, a World War, oil field boom and bust, countless hurricanes and have proudly survived it all. Surviving all of this was made possible by our ability to grow and evolve. We have been providing ships with navigational instruments that have been used for hundreds of years. Some of these instruments can be viewed in our antiques category.

Though the company has had to evolve with the times by integrating more technology, it did so flawlessly and has been featured in the Marine News M 100 two years in a row. This feature is for the firms that represent the very best of the Workboat, Offshore, Inland and Coastal Marine Markets.

Baker Lyman became a family-owned business when Lloyd Titus passed it down to his daughter Corinne in 1986. Since then Corinne has taken the company into a new technology rich era. Due to Corinne and her vision for the future, Baker Lyman has evolved with the times and consistently be a leader in the Maritime industry.
